Preparing Contact Lenses

A great guide on the safety & hygiene procedures of preparing your contact lenses before insertion.

1. It is crucial that you wash your hands before inserting contact lenses, as this kills any bad bacteria.

2. Do not use any sharp instruments, pens or finger nails to pick up and handle your contacts, this can scratch the surface.

3. If you occidentally drop your lens make sure you wash it and disinfect it with contact solution.

4. When applying eye make-up make sure your contacts have been inserted before hand and remove eye make-up after removing your contacts.

5. Some lenses need to be soaked for a period of time before use – please refer to the care instructions that come with the lenses.
